Hi Jean,
Always enjoy watching your sculpts!
Question: I use castilene hard. My question is do you like using castilene Medium on some of your work cause I'm trying to get more control over fine face details? Been sculpting for 2 years now & getting ready to mold & cast some of my works.......thank you for your time & any tips are most welcome!!

Note: most of my stuff is usually 1" to 8" in size
Stu

Thanks Stu! I used to use the soft for rough outs awhile back, but I just use the hard for everything to save that step and recasting into the harder material. Finer detail requires even harder material. I'd suggest mixing a little carnuba wax into you batch for the super tight work you need to do and work with a waxer to move the harder blend easier. The carnuba and the waxer are available on any sites offering castilene. Particularly Sculpt.com. Good luck with your projects!

Thanks for the info Jean really appreciate that!
i've been using a small lamp wih denatured alcohol in it & using metal tools to help carve out some areas quicker, I think that works like a waxer?

thanks man & keep up the inspiring work you're awsome!

THat works similarly, but if you get the chance pick up the cheaper waxer. You can do much more with it. Happy to help man!

He hasn't come up yet, but you never know, he would be cool to sculpt for sure!

You have a nice art gallery, but by any chance did you sculpt this? if so, then it's been stolen: professoradagio.deviantart.com…

I did. He stole it from my gallery, I designed and sculpted that for Diamond Select Toys.
