Archangels- Raphael

Originally sculpted in clay, hand cast in urethane and hand finished. 6.5 " h x 4"w.
Raphiel, the avatar of healing, his domain is the healing of the earth and its denizens. Apochryphal lore ascribes the authorship of the Book of Razier, a tome of healing, supposedly presented to Noah.

The Judeo-Christian angel is alternately portrayed as a protector of the weak and harbinger of dark portent. Old testament and apocryphal writings describe a creature of terrifying visage and power while modern representations have embraced the image of classical Greek winged demi-gods, which became the norm during the renaissance. Enochian magickal systems and certain offshoots of modern paganism have adopted the archangels or seraphim as conduits to higher spiritual learning and occult knowledge.
