You're seriously inspiring me to get into sculpting, if I may ask, what tool are you using here?

Mr Black Plague, I was wondering what type of material you r using sclupting the thunder cat head. My guess a type of wax? Why I ask is I'm getting back into sculpting & am currently using sculpey clay. but i think i would get better control with wax?? any thoughts. Thanks

I mostly use a material called castilene which works like a clay and then I mold and cast it. It isn't self hardening and can't be baked like sculpey.

Thanks man.... i thought you were using catilene. Im interested in getting started in castilene, do you have any tips or reference material you'd recomend? ... oh one more thing if i could, have you ever made molds using a baked sculpture using sculpey?

No, but you shouldn't have a problem if you seal it with crystal clear and mold it with tin silicone. Stay away from platinum based silicone, it sucks. As far as reference , just get anatomy books, muscle mags and catalogue to study clothing. A good sculpture comes out of intensely studying your subject matter.
